Back in about 2013-2014 I used to mine bitcoins in a pool called the bitcoin mining guild. Now that the pool has closed does anybody know how I can recover any of the coins I mined? Thanks in advance I have tried alot of googling to no avail.
What you call bitcoin is not bitcoin. It is a managed surrogate that Freemasons have replaced real Bitcoin. The substitution took place in December 2017. Immediately after the lower projections of the energy standard of the Higher Planes Erzanil were withdrawn. It was these projections that were the real bitcoins. Can Bitcoin be managed? The collage below shows the principle of managing absolutely all processes at the social level, i.e. third dimension or manifest physical world. https://preview.redd.it/81iwyptgk6d51.jpg?width=1041&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30fe6f1324daa703375a6a67ffb7bebd76d7a2d4 1 — the first level, the level of control or the real world, where all the processes take place. On the example of a container ship it is shown how they manage various stock quotes. For example, bitcoin. At this level, you can move and rearrange containers, as well as change their number. This is the level of “gods”, i.e. those who manage all processes. 2 — The second level is our level with you, i.e. level of “shadows” or projections of level one. Here we can only buy and sell. Why 21 million bitcoins? The total number of Erzanils existing at the higher levels corresponds to the total number of their lower projections, i.e. 21,000,000. If we arrange the number 21,000,000 vertically and in descending order, then we will receive the archetype of the new energy structure of a person. The six lower chakras are absent, the sahastrara remain working and two new chakras appear, because after a person sheds six lower bodies and the subsequent ascension, two additional subtle bodies are needed in order to remain at new levels of being. Is Satoshi the smallest piece of Bitcoin? The smallest bitcoin particle is double anu or argo! Remember the catch phrase that personifies a synonym for all great Beginnings - "like the Argonauts in the old days" !? You will try to guess from the first time about its origins located at the subconscious level. At low-frequency levels, the argo projection represents two different-spin anu combined into a single whole. It is this explosive-implosive particle that combines two opposites in itself, and not some mythical atoms, quanta, neutrinos and similar nonsense, that is the basis of everything! 1 argo is one part of bitcoin to the minus twenty-first degree, from its maximum energy content. Of course, neither Satoshi nor anyone else has anything to do with bitcoin. p.s. an hour after the publication, an unnamed insider gave me convincing reasons for some of the inaccuracies in my article. With respect and gratitude, I publish their compilation, as an addition to my publication and as a reason for reflection. "You not only overestimate the capabilities of Freemasons, but you are fundamentally mistaken. There was no substitution. Even all Orders and Guilds combined, including the egregor of Initaxa, would not have enough knowledge for a qualified substitution. As you rightly noted, only the lower ones were recalled, i.e. Erzanil's social projections. After their recall, images of 21 million bitcoin shells were left, already written on the mental level. Some of them were involved at the social level and turned into Bitcoin surrogates. The rest of the images of bitcoins are controlled with the help of iodines by gradual pumping, projecting them on the astral level. With the original, the mining process was nothing more than pumping energy into the generated bitcoin shell, which manifests itself at the social level in the hashing process. Today's mining is exactly what it is believed to be - nothing more than simple mining of bitcoins. The Bitcoin surrogate differs from the original in that, without support from above, it is not an energy Standard and Measure, i.e. the lowest projection of the energy standard of the higher planes Erzanil. And as you rightly pointed out, these projections were the real bitcoins. Summarizing the above we understand that the surrogate lacks the qualities corresponding to the original. And this is what puts the current "bitcoin" on a par with cryptocurrencies and turns it into one of the varieties of money"
Dear colleagues, I'm here, as last resource, to try to find a light in the end of the tunnel. In 2012 I had a wallet at btcguild, and now I have discovered that this site is closed...like... 4 years. Is there a way to recover the wallet? I find out the btc.com transaction log proving that I have some money on my account, and is tagged as unspent. I know, I probably lost everything... but as I told ya, i'm trying to find hints or advices. Any word about this? thanks!
Bit off more than I can chew but still seeing it thru!
Let me first preface this with the following: A: I am a musician/singehobbyist coder. B: I have never used a jigsaw before. C: I embarrassingly enough had to google how to properly read a ruler. D: Router to me means, internet. E: Home Depot can be scary for those who have no idea what they are doing. F. Home Depot is even scarier when you find out you know more than the employee that is helping you. G: MDF is heavier than you can ever imagine. Please please please bring a friend or two. I am not by any means weak. Each board is 96 lbs! H: MDF is messy as hell!!! I had to dust my whole living room after putting plastic over everything and just routing 12 inches of the arcade to test my t-molding. (More on that later). I: I am positive most of you out there will laugh at me thinking ,”What the hell was he thinking?” Well you know what? Fair enough.. I thought I was. And hey, I still built my dream arcade. Yes I took the long way but whatever.... So, let us begin on the journey..... If you are here to just scan thru and find info on how to build your arcade quickly, please email me at [email protected] and ask me there. I will do my best to reply quickly. (Not very busy at the moment). Otherwise, hang on...it’s goin to be a VERY bumpy ride. At least it was for my jigsaw and router. PART ONE: THE DREAM I was born July 16 1974. I will never forget my first arcade. The sounds of all the machines going off at once. My Dad giving me a five dollar bill out of his brown corduroy jacket to get quarters was like I hit the jackpot. All 20 quarters barely fitting into my little hands, I felt rich!! This was also about the time the TV show Silver Spoons came out. I remember Ricky Schroeder having a few upright cabinets in his house. At that age I thought, ehh I’ll never have that. I grew up in the Southside of Chicago. Bridgeport. The land of Mayor Daley, Catholics and hot dogs. Arcade cabinets were for the wealthy and arcades, not for me. From then on, my Dad would take me to every arcade we could find, until they stopped. (I am 46 and we still play PlayStation 3 games together now that arcades are closed down). I have even learned how to code, 3D build in Blender and create my own VR arcades. But it’s not the same. So one day I spilled the beans to my wife who had no idea of my inner wanting. PART TWO: HERE WE GO! It was around my 46th birthday when all of my family came together to help me purchase the gear to create my dream! My father in law helped me measure out the pieces but made me saw them with the jigsaw I borrowed. My real Dad is still in Chicago. I had the Home Depot guy cut the 8 x 4’ MDF into 5.5’ x 4’ MDF. Guess what? They still didn’t fit in the suv. So we roped them to the roof and rolled our windows down driving slow hoping they wouldn’t t fall off. Just like The Beverly Hillbillies! We cut them outside at his home in the yard because I heard about how much dust it created and would be either evicted or divorced if I did that here. Once we were done cutting:.... I piled all of the heavy pieces into my tiny Prius and lugged them up into our apartment. Before that, I must tell you where I got my plans. Geekpub.com was who I settled on as I had been googling like crazy trying to find the easiest and best plans etc.. Mike on Geekpub is fantastic. However, if you are a noob like myself, message me. I was confused over a few things and ended up returning a lot of items back to Amazon that I never needed. No worries. Mike at GeekPub is a total pro with a pro workshop. He even mines his own Bitcoin!!!! He is my new hero. Anyways, he leaves a few things out that most of you would probably already know. (Which is why I’m sure he didn’t mention it). Like, never use water based paint for MDF. Always prime MDF. You don’t need a piano hinge for a full upright. Etc.... Mike made his arcade with cream of the crop gear. I had to improvise with only a jigsaw, router, drill and sandpaper. I bought brad nails but never used them. mike has a fancy air compressor nail gun he uses. I do not possess that. But, I DID use wood glue and pax MDF screws that I found at Home Depot and bought only because they said MDF! They contain their own bit to use which is a star shaped but.
It’s crazy how strong wood glue is. I glued a brace in the wrong spot and had to chisel it off 2 hours later!! Be careful and triple check. Take it from me!!!
For your control panel Mike recommends Forstner bits for your control panel and I agree. Do yourself a favor and get these. When it comes to routing out for the T Molding, I did it with a portable hand router. I DID purchase my bit on Amazon. PART THREE: LEARN THY TOOLS Ok so if you are going to borrow a router, find out the size of the shank before you order your bit for the t-molding slot. I originally ordered the 1/2 “ shank only to find out it needed the 1/4”. Also, take note or the size you need when ordering your t-molding! Always rout from left to right. And again, if you are using MDF, mask your home with plenty of plastic. Make it look like in ET when they come to take home away. You’ll be glad you did!!! If you are screwing into MDF, go slow and try to limit the times you have to re screw or else the wood fibers will split on you and your screw will just keep turning. PART FOUR: PAINT I haven’t started this yet but have learned a lot from researching other’s builds. I learned to NEVER use water based anything on MDF as it will ruin it by swell. I will add more info once I purchase my items from you know where. I also made many mistakes by trying to saw a straight line with a jigsaw. No...I didn’t know about a straight edge guide.. Anyways, I just ordered a hand plane and I hope this will fix it. Will update soon! Final -ish thoughts: I’m positive I left out a bunch. I recommend you go to geekpub.com and buy the guild pass. I have zero affiliation with Mike. But am a big supporter as he does have quite a lot of knowledge. If you would like to just learn thru me, I can get you set and rolling with the knowledge that I have. [email protected] Cheers, Jesse

Dear friends: We can't afford for a bitcoin service to become too big to fail. No one will bail us out.
It is becoming obvious that bitcoin as a protocol is incredibly resilient. The biggest problem we face right now are from bitcoin services that will bring down the bitcoin economy if they fail. I am aware of two current situations where this possibility exists today:
Mt. Gox claims over 80% of transaction volume. If Mt. Gox fails, we all fail. The solution is to use other exchanges until the balance of power is leveled. Ideally, the top 5 exchanges should maintain about 20% of the market. This post by Taenk about alternatives to Mt Gox is excellent
BTC Guild has had nearly 50% of the mining pool share for all of recent history. If BTC Guild reaches 51% of the market share the mining pool could be used to fork the chain, leading to instability for bitcoin. It is simple to choose any of the other top 5 pools. See: blockchaininfo chart.
We must act now and over the long term to ensure that we don't inadvertently threaten the future of bitcoin with poor choices.
After many months of consideration, I have finally made the choice to announce the planned closure of BTC Guild. Below, I've outlined the closure process/timeline and reasons that this decision was made. Closure Timeframe and Process As identified in the support section and in the 2nd post on this thread, BTC Guild has had an official policy for the amount of time that will be given in the event of closure. The official date that BTC Guild will cease all business is January 31, 2015. This post is the start of the identified 3 months of warning. 1) Effective immediately, registrations are closed to new users. 2) BTC Guild mining servers will remain online until November 30, 2014. 3) Users will have until 11:59 PM (PST) on January 31, 2015 to withdraw any remaining balances on their account. The above timeline may change if BTC Guild is sold prior to the planned date of closure. Main Reasons for Closure 1) Risk/cost of a successful attack against the pool. As pooled mining in general is shrinking due to large manufacturers creating private farms, the potential revenue for the pool has gone down as expected. While the pool is still very profitable, the amount of time it would take to recover from an attack has increased due to the overall share of the network shrinking. BTC Guild has, to date, never been successfully hacked. However, I have seen a rise in attack attempts, and things like Heartbleed/Shellshock which show that efforts are being put into compromising common Linux services if possible. Neither of those attacks had any affect on BTC Guild, but they were both reminders that under BTC Guild's own code, there are many services which could be a doorway into the pool's servers if a vulnerability was discovered. One successful attack could cost close to a year of pool revenue, maybe more depending on what happens in the mining landscape over that period of time. If something else happened in that time (subsequent attack or regulation forcing closure), it would mean continuing to operate the pool beyond this point has cost me more money than it might potentially make in the rest of its lifetime. 2) US government/regulators are already taking stances against specific business types in Bitcoin, applying requirements which would be impossible for BTC Guild to operate under if they attempt to extend regulation into pooled mining, either directly or indirectly due to unclear definitions. Nobody will mine on a pool which requires them to provide personally identifiable information when they can change a single line in their configuration to point elsewhere. Additionally, state regulators are starting to make noise about Bitcoin. New York is the first to publicly put anything forward, but there are 49 other states which can put their own spin on things. Due to the ability for states to establish a nexus for businesses dealing with their state's residents, it is a scary landscape to continue operating in. I have no intention of leaving the US myself, and given the recent history of the US when it comes to online businesses, I don't feel safe simply moving the business legal entity to another country while continuing to live in the US myself. Aquisition and Users's Privacy/Funds In the event that BTC Guild is acquired prior to closure, users will not have their mining history and withdrawal history transferred to the new owner. All balances up to the date of aquisition will be retained by myself, and a separate service will be made available to claim any funds owed. I am unwilling to compromise on this, because I refuse to do anything where it puts the users of the pool at risk of not receiving what they've earned under my watch. Pool Recommendations and Advice For users looking for a new home for their miners, I highly recommend BitMinter, Eligius, and p2pool. I do not recommend Slush over any of those 3 options, and I actively encourage users to not use Discus Fish or GHash.io. Other smaller pools exist which are run by honest people, but due to their size, it is difficult to recommend them to the average miner. Closing Words When I got into Bitcoin back in March of 2011, I never expected anything that we've seen over the last 3 and a half years. I had never built a computer before, never run a server beyond a Gentoo PC in a spare bedroom, and never setup a website that experienced even 0.1% of the traffic BTC Guild gets on an average day. Bitcoin and BTC Guild have both radically changed my life. While I am closing BTC Guild, I still plan to remain a part of the Bitcoin community. I do believe, even in the face of over-regulation, that Bitcoin will continue to grow and become more useful and usable. I just feel that it is time to move on from BTC Guild, and take pride in the fact that BTC Guild's closure can show that not all Bitcoin businesses end with somebody stealing funds from their users, either by "getting hacked" or outright theft.
I’d like to facilitate a discussion around this constant perplexing inner struggle I’m constantly waging, and I know others are too. But first a short background. I grew up with a dad who worked as a computer and network repair man for our local University. Perks of his position were he was able to scoop up old hardware the University was throwing away for various reasons. Either they didn’t want to spend the money on refitting/reusing that part, or they were upgrading. This resulted in a lot of free parts for my dad, and in turn for me. At the age of 7 my dad basically made me build my own computer with a box full of scraps. When I went to ask him how something worked or why something wasn’t working - he would refer me to a bookshelf chalk full of computer hardware manuals and textbooks. Looking back now I realized everything he was doing was teaching me to think critically, rather than just ask for the answer. Something that admittedly eventually made me hugely knowledgeable in the tech space. This was 1994 after all, the internet was basically nonexistent in contrast to how it is today. So with his direction, I built and built until my first successful post and subsequent install of Windows NT 3.1. Up until this point my only goal for building a computer was to impress my dad, but I quickly discovered the word of gaming with classics like Doom, Might and Magic 3, Master of Orion 1, and with a holiday release Warcraft 1. Up until this point I had been an avid NES gamer, with frequent visits to my local mall arcade. From the moment I had my first successful boot on my make shift Pentium PC until the release of Halo 1, the PC was my go to gaming device. After Halo 1, the original Xbox became my go to device. I had fallen in love with my brother PlayStation 1 with games like Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo, but the PS1 never took large chunks of my time. I went back to primarily PC when World of Warcraft released. When WoW released I was in high school, and running a machine that was frankensteined from an Athlon 2500+ eMachines PC an old compaq from my dad work, and few parts I got from Tiger Direct; Nvidia FX 5950 and a sweet Refurbished Alienware case. My desire to game had never been stronger than with WoW and Halo 1-3. WoW and the achievements and trophy systems of the PS3/X360 ushered in a new era for me, psychologically. I still don’t really understand it. And this is what brings me to this post. Maybe to find some understanding and discussion. I got married in 2011 and shortly after that joined the Army. And shortly after that had my first kid. All those life moments decreased the time I had to play games. After all this I was more attracted to the narrative games such as Mass Effect 1-3 on the 360, and Uncharted and Last of Us. Which brought me to the PS3. I stopped playing WoW, mostly, after WoD. I raided in some top guilds in their realms, mainly because the old feeling of WoW for me dissipated. And once achievements and trophy’s became a thing to earn on consoles - I found myself striving for those ‘dings’ over the actual substance of the games being played. Then I found myself not wanting to play ANY PC games, aside from occasional Civilization with friends or Stellaris by myself for hours. But even then my Stellaris games are focused around completion and achievements. I’ve probably owned 5 different PS4s since 2013. The original, the slim, a black pro, the white Pro, and a newer revision of the black pro (current). I find myself not playing for months on end. The only games that have really drawn me in this generation has been remasters of the narrative games already mentioned, a few outliers, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Horizon is by far and away my favorite game of this generation, and sits right up there with Mass Effect 1 for me. Now comes the question. Why do I have a desire to build a PC, but zero desire to play games on that PC? I have no desire to buy an Xbox due to the only game I want to play by MS being on the PC soon (Halo), which in turn is the only PC game of even want to play. And then WHY can’t I get excited for most games anymore, but I feel like I HAVE to have a PS4 Pro? And why are games without achievements now massively less appealing to me? What’s happening lol? I miss that feeling I had with PC, and older consoles. Is the fact I have 3 kids and a career something I’m not taking into account? Now armed with a 4k monitor, Ryzen 7 1700x, 16gb, 1tb nvme WD, RX 580 8gb (always wanting more 😥) My last build was a i7-6700k, 2 1080 Tis, 16gb Ram, 1tb nvme, and a 40 inch Samsung 4K tv. I sold that during the 2016 bitcoin mining craze for a massive profit. And have sense just used the Ryzen 7 system above.

Learn how to code Once the basics of programming are understood, it can be difficult to understand how or why those concepts are applied. We believe the most effective way a beginner can approach learning to code is by breaking the learning process into three broad segments or “phases”. Learn syntax Solve problems Make stuff There is currently a complete lack of attention on the second segment. A beginner must go directly from learning syntax to making things without any real understanding of how the syntax is used to solve problems. In other words, the beginner has not yet learned how to think like a programmer, yet they are expected to solve problems like a programmer. Edabit was created to bridge this gap between knowing syntax and actually making stuff with syntax. In the real world, a developer will typically encounter a problem or challenge they’re not completely sure how to solve. They search for documentation, tutorials or Q&A to overcome the challenge and sometimes ask questions in discussion forums. A pattern repeated over and over again. Edabit simulates this pattern in a more structured way, while removing the tedious non-educational aspects and adding simple game mechanics. It teaches the beginner to think like a programmer, read documentation and ask appropriate questions. All of which transfer nicely to real world development environments. This approach will dramatically speed up the beginners journey to becoming an actual developer while at the same time making the process more enjoyable. It's easier, quicker and more fun.
BTC Guild is NOT close to 51% of the hash share, despite previous reports here
I wanted to debunk this, not because I like BTC guild (I use Slush's pool, which thankfully is now back up), but to stop the fear mongering of BTC Guild being large and another threat besides regulation, DDoS attacks, etc. Find the service you like, use them to mine, and be done with it. The whole purpose of BTC is to have more choices and allow more market freedom. If someone chooses to use BTC guild, they probably have a reason to do so, not because tehy were forced into it.
